Keep Your Family Safe From the Flu

A Message From The President

I would just like to take a moment to personally wish you a very happy New Year. It's hard to believe how fast 2012 has come and gone, but all of us here at Nortek Environmental, Inc. are preparing to make 2013 our greatest year yet. One of our greatest accomplishments in 2012 was moving to a larger office space that is almost double the size of our last location. The new location and more space will allow us to better assist you with all of your Heating, Air Conditioning and Indoor Air Quality needs. Also, we are currently in the process of reconstructing the Nortek Environmental, Inc. Website, making it even more user-friendly than before. By subscribing to the Nortek Environmental, Inc. eNewsletter, you'll always be the first to receive updates on changes here at Nortek Environmental, Inc..

Dear Justin,

With the New Year upon us, we find ourselves in the beginning of winter. With the winter season also comes flu season. We all try to and do our best to prevent ourselves and our families from catching a cold: sending the kids to school with pocket-sized hand sanitizer, making sure to sneeze into our sleeve while covering our mouths, using paper towels on public bathroom door handles, and drinking up on the Orange Juice to boost our immune system. However, did you ever consider how much your indoor air quality impacts your health? Or, that in your home, you have millions of airborne bacteria, viruses, mold spores, and dust particles potentially carrying the flu virus and other diseases? While you may think that you can't do much to change the indoor air quality of your home, there is one major change you can make to your home that will greatly increase the overall quality of your home's atmosphere: a Sanuvox UV Light Disinfection System.

Doesn't My Furnace Filter Catch This Stuff?

This is actually false. Think of your furnace filter like a tennis racket. While it can stop the traveling of large objects, such as chunks of dirt and large dust, particles traveling through your ductwork, microscopic particles can pass through your filter. A Sanuvox UV Air Purifier installed in your home will be able to kill these microscopic particles traveling through your ductwork and prevent them from getting into your home.

What's the Difference Between a UV Light Disinfection System and an Object Purifier?

An Object Purifier is a UV Light Disinfector that is designed to sterilize stationary objects. For example, your A-Coil, which sits atop of your furnace, would be great to pair with an Object Purifier as your A-Coil never moves and is at the heart of your homes HVAC System. The Sanuvox Sabre is an object purifier. The difference between an Object Purifier and a UV Air In-Duct Purifier is that they purify different items. While an Object Purifier sterilizes stationary objects, In-Duct Purifiers, such as Sanuvox's new R4000GX (or R+) model, is placed within your ductwork to kill any airborne particles traveling through your ductwork. Now, if you combine both an Object Purifier (the Sanuvox Sabre) with an In-Duct Purifier (the Sanuvox R4000GX/R+), you will be providing your family with an extremely sanitized and healthy home environment.
